Bradley Thompson and David Weddle, scribes of the critically acclaimed
Sci Fi network series
Battlestar Galactica, are reported by
Shack News as the script writers for SEGA's
Aliens: Colonial Marines FPS title, due out this October for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
Developer Gearbox Software prez Randy Pitchford told
Shack News during an E3 interview that the two talents were on board. Pitchford said that the writers gave his company a great amount to work with, even joking around saying, "We could make a whole season of TV with the stuff they gave us."
Battlestar Galactica has been praised as the best show on television in 2005 by
Time Magazine and
Rolling Stone.
Aliens: Colonial Marines is set to pick off the classic sci-fi franchise, as players are put in the helm of US Marines armed with human and alien artillery in an alien warfare. With the game supporting a four player co-op mode, this title is set to charm many sci-fi shooter fanatics.
